10:30 AM - 12:00 PM Location: Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center On Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, children ages 5 and under, along with an adult, can have some fun together splashing around the small pool at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center. Slip down the slide, scurry through the sand play area or tinker around with our Gadgets & Gizmos water feature! Wednesday, July 28 - Monday, August 2 Location: Warren County Fairgrounds A Family A-Fair! Friday, August 20 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM Location: Indianola Town Square Indianola Bike Night began the summer of 2005 and draws motorcycle enthusiasts and visitors from around the state. Located on our unique town square, this family-friendly event has historically drawn up to 3,000 bikes and a crowd of over 4,000. In addition to the many standard and custom motorcycles on display, there is live music, food and beverages, vendors and exhibits, a live radio broadcast and award presentations Saturday, August 21 7:00 PM Location: Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center Before the Family Dive-In movie of Monsters vs Aliens, bring your own cardboard boat and test your skills as a boat Captain! Thanks to Canoe Sport Outfitters, we will provide the paddles and you design and build your own boat made out of CARDBOARD and DUCT TAPE ONLY. For the safety of the pool and participants, no other items will be allowed in the construction of a boat. We will have singles and team races in the following age groups: 10 years & under, 11-15 years, and 16 years & up. We will also have a family race which will require at least one adult and least one child in the boat. For a complete set of rules, visit our website or pick them up at the Aquatic Center or the Parks & Recreation Office. Sunday, August 22 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM Location: Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center After Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center has closed for the season, dogs and their owners can celebrate the end of summer together at this pooch pool party. Dogs will follow their owners' rules and be accompanied by their owners at all times. Dog and owner must be pre-registered to participate. A portion of the evening's proceeds will go to the Kiya Koda Humane Society and Indianola Off Leash Dog Playground. Friday, August 27 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM Location: Indianola Activity Center, 2204 W. 2nd Avenue (Hwy 92) All ages invited to this dance featuring the classic country sounds of Maurie Goode and the Country Gentlemen at the Indianola Activity Center, 2204 W. 2nd Avenue (Hwy 92W).
