Warren County Historical Museum

Our main museum houses a Warren County Historical/Genealogical Library, kitchen /dining room, and two floors of historical exhibits. The Heritage Village has a log cabin, Mt. Hope Country School, Pioneer Church, a Quaker South River Meeting House, George Washington Carver Museum, Large Machinery Building and General Store. The Library has family histories; old school records; obituaries; photos; court records; information about Warren County communities, churches, and organizations; and original newspapers.

Log Cabin Festival, a free fun filled family event, held the last full weekend in September is our main fundraising event. We host Indianola 5th, Southeast Warren 3rd, and Norwalk 4th grades at Pioneer School. In May we have a 5th Grade Spelling Bee.
